If I remember well, Me'shell must be in studio, now, for her new recordings... I can't help thinking about it and would love to hear this being done !
Has anybody here been abble to slip in the studio like a little mouse and witness the magical process that will give us a new CD in the coming months (hopefully) ?

Another question : what about this "Massive Transdub" project she is supposed to play with in september ?
Is she gona play bass for this group for live performance ?
Any detail on this tour ? Where will it take plce ? US ? Europe ? somewhere else ?

Meshell has officially relocated to Los Angeles and is currently recording "For All(ah)" her first vocal album in 3 years. It is produced by Allen Cato and engineered by Eryk Dyba featuring musicians Terreon Gully, Deantoni Parks, Herve Samb, Pat Metheny, Oliver Lake and Sy Smith. The recording is at a studio house called Palace of the Bees and promises to be breakthrough for her. Meshell wants to do a myspace soon for all of her fans.

She will also do some spot dates for Spirit Music Jamia in October. Japan, Europe and South America tours are being planned for November and December.

As for the Transdub Massiv tour in September where she will play bass only, at this point we have 3 shows confirmed in Vienna, Antwerp, and Amsterdam, and a likely TV performance in Italy. The scale of the tour is smaller than what we initially envisioned, and would be less of a time commitment in any case. The outside travel dates are now September 15-22, or 23rd. So it's a 1 week commitment versus 2 weeks.

What about Australia? Surely she can at least drop by and sit in with the Oliver Lake Trio at The Basement on Thurs 27 Oct

i think her manager is referring to where she is recording.

I just woke up from a surprising night at the Temple Bar in Los Angeles.

My friend and I hit up the bar on a whim and were in for a nice surprise. Laurena and her band were playing. Turns out that not only India Arie was in the audience and sang a Birthday song with Laurena, but Me'Shell was there with her bass to accompany them. I actually have a part of the song recorded on my cell phone. Give me an e-mail if you want it, I can text it to you and you can text it to whoever else.
