forwarded to me from someone who actually went...

"...saw me'shell last night. way more communicative than i've ever seen her - talked, laughed, and shook hands w/ the audience, even smiling and waving on her way off stage.

deantoni parks, chris bruce, mark kelley, and jason lindner.

slightly less of a primary rock feel (think the last year's style blended w/ the 'bitter' tour).

setlist included 'gaia moon', 'soul spaceship', 'soul on the planet', 'headline', 'the sloganeer', 'faithful', 'forgiveness and love', 'wasted time', 'shirk', 'lola', and a few more i hadn't heard yet."

I saw the March 30 gig at London's Jazz Cafe, Meshell's first on the new European tour. It was so good to see Meshell in great form, evidently having fun and good interaction with audience and her musicians (esp. the bass player). It was the best of the three concerts I attended (the other two were Warsaw in Oct 06, Amsterdam Nov 07) Her new repertoire (by new I mean as of yet unpublished) made a much better impression on me than in Amsterdam 15 months ago (maybe that was because in Amsterdam she played without another full-time bassist, and Mr Bruce had to alternate between bass and guitar). The set list was from TWHMTMOMD: Headline, Evolution, Article 3, Meshell Johnson, Sloganeer (for encore), some new stuff (don't know the names), Wasted Time & Fool from Bitter and Fellowship from Comfort Woman.
Generally, Meshell appeared energetic and positive, she even had a "business casual" outfit (i.e. straight jeans and a jacket). Of course, in the process she stayed the same modest person. When someone in the audience shouted "Meshell you're a great star", she laughed and said "No, no - oh maybe, in my own tiny world...".
I enjoyed the show so much and my hopes for a new record have started to rise!

I'm so sad I missed her concert in Paris, on friday : I was in Frankfort, for the week end.

A friend of mine who was there, had exactly the same good impressions about her playing in Paris and also metioned that they sounded more like a real group than before, and that she seemed more confident on vocals.
