like many all around the country, lately I've been bustin my ass trying to stay employed...i just survived the latest round of cuts in my company (whew!good lawd...).

Anyway, so much working has kept me from hitting the web as often and for as long i used to (there's that, along with the fact that my kids have now discovered the computer and i have to fight them for it these days as well Smile.) I've missed it...

but now that i have a sec i just gotta say...after months of being too busy to even listen to music for any amount of time (can you believe THAT??) ...the other day i decided enough was enough and i pulled out a variety of live Meshell samples from throughout the years to re-visit...

and, well...

you know...

thats some amazing shit...

from then until now, thats just some amazing shit...

from the 1994 Red Hot Blue live version of "Nocturnal Sunshine"...to the stellar version of "Free My Heart" from Sessions At 54...to the 1999 Luna shows...to the ridiculously mindblowing versions of "Dead Nigga Boulevard" & "The Way" which closed 2000 Montreux set...all the way to samples of the Spirit Music Sextet that i was able to hear ...once... (i got that Montreux link to work the first time, but since then unfortunately i cant seem get it to work again dammit Frown...anyone else having problems??)

anywayz...all of that stuff...ALL of it...the words, the music, the inspired playing...all of it helped to get me centered again, focused again on the important things...love & life...creativity & passion...continuously seeking, learning & experiencing...thats music at its best aint it?

thats some good ass shit...

thanks Meshell and the host of super talented musicians you've created with throughout the years...ya'll sure do make some magic....
