Just got back from the late set in Chicago. Only limited internet access so gonna make this short & sweet until i get back to VA... they KILLED it ya'll! two standing ovations from the crowd. great venue, very comfortable, intimate, good sound and good all around vibe. would love to see her here again. Meshell and band were in great spirits laughing and joking with each other. all i have time for now is a quick set list...here ya go... Devils Halo Lola (you know it you love it, how can you not? Die Young (AWEsome live. one of my favorites on the new record) Slaughter (ditto!) Dirty Mind (hell yeah, she did it HER way and it killed) Sloganeer Fool Of Me Solomon (i absolutely LOVE this song, easily one of my favorites from that album so hearing it live made my night) White Girl Crying In Your Beer Fellowship Dead Nigga Boulevard (trust me, ya'll aint ready for THIS version . Blood On the Curb Outside Your Door Article 3 Mass Transit Love You Down ok gotta split, but wanted to post a quick report tonight while i had internet access. Wish i could catch the shows in Minneapolis Sunday. It would be great to hang with you guys who are catching those sets! One day we're GONNA make that happen again though! alrighty folks, gotta go. enjoy the gigs! Thanks for the review. I am getting really excited about her upcoming Seattle show. I wonder why she's playing Bellingham the next night, as it's only 90 minutes north of Seattle, and a small college town. Maybe it's as close to Vancouver, BC as she can get this tour. | |||

scan of Chris Bruces actual setlist from Chicago 10/16/09 10pm (i grabbed it as i walked out after the show)... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OSLQ8AR1 ...they'd planned to play 'Love Song #3' and 'Bright Shiny Morning' which i woulda loved (those two are favorites of mine from those albums, and this woulda been the first time i'd have actually heard them live ...woulda been extra sweet)....ah well next time... more details later...back to work now...This message has been edited. I also have the one from the 2nd show in Mpls. That said, they didn't stick to the setlist, so I will have to check the video to see what was actually played... I would love to hear "Love Song #(2 or 3)" live. Maybe in San Francisco or Seattle. Loved the band's interpretation of Dirty Mind and the band's update to DNB. Wow. | |||
