October 15, 2009 - The Music Hall, Detroit

Well I screwed that up... twice. First, I coulda, shoulda, woulda shot video of the whole damn set, but I forgot to put my newly formatted 2GB SD card in my camera, so I only had enough space for a couple of seconds of Mass Transit. Then, I somehow forgot to switch my recorder (which was under my coat) to the external mic instead of the internal one. And here I am wondering why it's clipping with the gain all the way down. I don't even want to listen to that recording, much less share it. Oh well.

Otherwise great night. I hate see her in seated venues, but I've got to love it when I wait until two hours before the show to buy my ticket and get front row center. Although I wasn't crazy about the sound in that room at all, this was one of my favorite Meshell shows ever. Dirty Mind? Please. Amp Fiddler? I'm floored. I've got to go, but I'll post (crappy) pics and vid later.

Yes it did. I don't think I thanked you enough! I love that disc. They will be on tour in the states, but unfortunately I will not be in town when they are Next tour!

Same here. I'll definitely have to catch them next time. Meshell said she's looking forward to seeing you. Still working out these images, but I'll be sending you another care package.
