My hopes seem to become a reality : another date is announced here !
This time it will be in Marseille, on 24th of July... the day after my bithday. Before Meshell will play a group (that I don't know...) for a tribute to my french favourite poet Charles Baudelaire ! And in addition, The RH Factor will close the night (I imagine that Meshell and them might like to jam together )

ooh i hope roy hargrove comes to berlin too! the berlin SMJ show was on point. i didn't see any mention of it before the show, maybe i wasn't looking, but it filled up and got way too hot up in there. my friend from home - nyc- was visiting and we had a great time. interesting show without chris dave - straight clowning from mr. gomes, with all of his homemade percussion party in a bag self. and since i was trying to see the show from behind a big ass afro, he was blocking out meshell for awhile. i liked the show better than amsterdam... mostly for the smaller venue and definitely for the vibe. a'dam was slamming though with the 2 encores. wish i could have stayed after the show. i keep kicking myself for jetting but work the next morning would have been calling me. virtual thanks to kt for keeping us up to date. i've loved seeing SMJ live and i'm trying to get everyone i know in the states to pick up the CD and catch the tour. come back to berlin yall!!
re: 7/20 and 7/24, my understanding is that both of these dates were posted by the promoter before confirmation-- i do not think she will be back in europe with the smj in july. i believe she will do some dates with yerba buena, just playing bass in that band, but no smj gigs in europe. i believe after the montreal gig, she does some smj dates in the caribbean, then the yerba dates in spain, and then jumps into recording her new record. peace, kt
