Hi everybody, I'm French, from Paris and I just want to thank the band for the 2 concerts in Paris last week: it was the first time I went to a jazz concert and, well, it was really good ;-) I went with someone who knows Meshell's music for years and I only knew some songs but not a lot. The concerts were great, I heard saxophones "in real" for the first time :-)) and I HAVE to say, because he amazed me by his genious, that it was one of the best drummer I have ever seen! (and I've seen several great drummers before with great artists) For the second concert, saturday, I was just behind him, at the first row and it was incredible to see someone moving each part of his body separately! If you read me, Chris, wow you're fantastic! If you come back to Paris, I hope you will learn me to play a little bit of drums cause this is one of my 2 favourite instruments ;-) Meshell was very concentrated on her music, gave some smiles sometimes and laughed with Chris, etc. Someone, my friend told me that it was the manager, was enjoying the music too, he was smiling and dancing during the shows in front of the backstage door ;-) He looked very nice. The DJ was great too, mixing some "oldies", the audience enjoyed his mix. He's always dancing during the show too :-)) Just one thing, Meshell's son looked very tired ;-) Well, I could say much more but I have to go. Thanks again and see you next time in Paris, Linda | ||
