Thanks for the info...

I'm hoping that somebody that lives there *hint hint* will record it and put up on the site as mp3s Wink (The quality will be better if recorded directly from the FM broadcast...)

First the good news... The concert was recorded... But, and here comes the bad news, I'm disappointed by the quality... Frown It's like "saturated"... Did anyone else listen/record the show? If yes, how was "your" sound quality?...

Anyway... I'll get the tracks ready to be uploaded as soon as possible (it should be done by tuesday...)...

Michel

PS: Matt, let me know if you want to host the files on freemyheart.com... otherwise I'll simply upload them on "the trader's den"...

i totally forgot :\ i was so busy still uploading the sia tracks.

as for hosting them, i can't afford to do that at fmh... my bandwidth is limited to what's already on the site...

yousendit or sendspace works for me Big Grin

and thank you on behalf of everyone for recording this...

And here's the link...

I hope it'll work fine... let me know if not... By the way, tracks are only "numbered" as I don't know most of their titles, and track 6 is Gilmar Gomez's miniset.

Enjoy...

wow... i Love the sloganeer live. (the drums at the beginning remind me a little of led zeppelin)

p.s. i wrote to oren and gilmar in hopes of getting updated info (track titles - especially gilmar's stuff) and the correct spelling of her new bass player's last name. (carty?)

lastly... what do you all think of her sound without keyboards?

even more powerful to read her words...
get a bang out of life
    suicide
    straight to paradise
    if you're the chosen
    why don't you just
kill yourself now, kill yourself now
    cuz i hate
    all you beautiful people

    just open up your legs
    just open up your legs
soothe my, soothe my, soothe my
    my dissatisfaction
    i'm sorry i can't soothe your
    your dissatisfaction
    just open up your legs
    soothe my
    my dissatisfaction
    my frustrated destructive reaction
to my life, to my life
the voices, they scorn and they mock me
the people, they scorn and they mock me
cuz this world is just cold and lonely

get a bang out of life
    suicide
    straight to paradise
    if you're the chosen
    why don't you just
kill yourself now, kill yourself now
    cuz i hate
    all the beautiful people

they want me to think that god is just my
    my imagination
they prefer i believe in democracy, leaders and fame
    they just a multi-sensation
to know me, to know i love
    i Love with my imagination
but can you imagine utter nothingness?

get a bang out of life
    suicide
    straight to paradise
    if you're the chosen
    why don't you just
kill yourself now, kill yourself now
    cuz i hate
    all you beautiful people

    soothe my, soothe my
just open up your legs and soothe my
    soothe my, soothe my
    my dissatisfaction

or i could just get a bomb
    you know, and hey...

get a bang out of life
    suicide
    straight to paradise
    if you're the chosen
    why don't you just
kill yourself now, kill yourself now
cuz i hate, cuz i hate, cuz i hate
    all you beautiful people

    all you jesus freaks
    all you beautiful people
    all you suicide bombers
    all you zionists
get a bang out of your life!
a little different than the album version, but still... Worship

track 7, to my knowledge is noted correctly, "headline" into "soul spaceship." the latter sounds great... i have said from the first moment that i heard any demos on this record that soul spaceship is a fucking hit... radio... advertising... movies... it could be the right tool if used properly; that and "lovely lovely" and "only human" if they remain on the album. i love soul spaceship to death.

Yes, Thank You very much Mr. Gomes and every one who has added both words of shows and performances to this great site. And yes I'm still waiting for my Ep, and I was the person who alerted dustgrooves.com, about the release of the Ep, I think I would have received it quicker from them. Oh well.............

yeah Michel, i really cant thank you enough for sharing this set...i've been letting it sink in and marinade and am absolutely loving the whole thing... (been humming 'Soul Spaceship' constantly for a few days now Smile ... you're right KT, that bad boy right there is a hit no doubt!)

Speaking of which, when i first heard her sing the "Soul Spaceship' line here in this set, for some reason the title sounded familiar to me...not the song itself, just the 'soul spaceship' phrase...anyone remember if she's used that 'soul spaceship' phrase before perhaps in a live performance? (not actually sung the Soul Spaceship song, but used the 'soul spaceship' phrase within another song)...or maybe the title was mentioned before in another post or something and thats what i'm recalling...

at any rate i'm LOVIN it to death...

"...when are the angels gonna take me away?..."

do your thing meshell, do your thing...

thanks again michel for sharing, kt for the 'behind the music' info, and m for the venue to let it all happen...

now, to 'sleep' i go (with headphones on and Zurich & the EP cranked up Wink

nope...not asleep yet...

man...the energy and vibe is really great on this set isn't it?

The whole thing is vibrant and kinetic and alive... Feels like they just kinda WENT for it ya know? Everything ...the Meshell material (man this new material kicks PLENTY ass!), Gilmars wonderful breezy set...ALL of it is just pulsing and churnin' with lots of energy and life...i'm ALL smiles finger-snaps and toe-taps here Smile

Thats why i'm still awake now dammit...

i need to carry my ass to sleep though...but i just can't...(curse those blessed 'auto replay' buttons)

MUCH thanks again to everyone for sharing music, info, and experiences here...

and of course thanks to Meshell for continuing to grow and explore fearlessly and for always letting us tag along for the ride...you kickass girl.

<clicks replay button, puts on 'stripper glasses' and goes off on another musical journey>

OH MY!!!!!!!!!!

I am on my second listen. This show will be on repeat all day in the crib.

The energy is just a-@#&%ing-mazing. I am so excited to hear if she develops with Gilmar (sp?) the Brazilian stuff. I've been giving up on American music in favor of Brazilian flavors for a few years now, so this is a match made in heaven for me.

this is amazing!

The vibe is potent and powerful. She is humble and just says the truth so eloquently. I LOVE the "saw it on TV" song, and the Bush/son/sun song is nice. Sloganeer is deep as hell. Thank you Me'Shell for blessing us with your truth. The music and lyrics are just raw.

Anyone know if the percussionist (Gilmar) is the same dude she had with her in NYC during her later Comfort Woman tour. He opened the show playing pandeiro, and sat in for a few songs. I think she mentioned that he was working for her as some kind of administrator or manager or something (I may have made that part up ... but I thought I heard it).

Anyway, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for posting this up. I knew there was a reason for logging on to the internet today (after months of unplugging).

peace and blessings
