Does anyone have an update about how the temple bar show was? How was the show on the 8th? I love this website. I spent hours on end just looking at webfunk. I really appreciate that because the last time I saw Meshell perform was at Kimball's East in either 99 or 2000 which I still remember. As you can tell I am new to this site since Maverick didn't have any updated information.

B.

I did not make it to this show, but did catch meshell with Black Gold, the new band consisting of meshell, DJ jahi, chris dave, and two other cats, i did not catch the names of(sorry for that).

It was very open and appeared to be improv off of basslines meshell was producing on the spot, or maybe grooves and ideas they manipulated as they went along, much of it in the style of dj jahi's couple shows at the blue note.

Lots of guest spots, like sy smith and many others on horns and ttables that added their thing. No songs, in the traditional sense. but, still, always a joy to catch dave, sundance and, our favorite bald bassplaying girl, gail a. dorse...ah, meshell.

They did comment that some music would be commercially available c. august 2005!!!

To Jahi: Thanks for that Heart of the Sunrise in the mix. It brought a warm feeling of kindredness amongst all of us prog fans in the room. all 1. you are a master of inclusion. keep on..
