hi gang - first post here.

I just wanted to express my upset about last nights show @ Avalon - not having to do with Meshell's performance which, despite a number of issues, was pretty kickass. But the monitor sound (OR LACK THEREOF) was making her fussy, and people were using flash cameras (!!!) despite the obvious...Boston audiences are so lame sometimes.

Also, what's the 411 on her billing for these dates? Did Soulive invite her to play with them, vice-versa, or is this a record company thing / tour package? It was my distinct impression that SL were opening for Meshell, not the other way around, or at the very least splitting the bill with her.

Though they (SL) very very good indeed, I had been looking forward to one of Meshell's lengthy stream-of-funkiness jams and that's not what we got. Now I hear this is the last tour.

This is frustrating to say the least, but I can certainly understand her wanting to perhaps curtail live performances rather than risking a seizure/trigger from playing to crowds that aren't devoutly hers and therefore may not honor her requests.

Any thoughts on all this? The just under an hour we did get last night was wonderful despite the limitations and Meshell's visible frustration...tell me this isn't the end.

Lastly, do people use any of these forums as a place to trade live stuff? Just curious. Say the word if that's a big no-no topic here and i won't mention it again.
