I knew she wouldn't leave Atlanta out... She seems to enjoy the ATL!... I am also interested in dates for DC, Chicago, and Houston (has she ever played Houston), I am always trying to influence friends and family to check out Meshelle... I may even make a few trips around her shows in other cities...

you know an artist is really fuckin good when you can suggest to people to 'put their life on hold' for a month cuz she might be playing in their city, and everyone's like, "aight, no problem!!"

Hey... Tickets went on sale today for Meshell's upcoming appearance (w/Soulive), here in Chicago, on October 17 at HOB. So, I went out & got my ticket, and, now, I'm set!

I'm just happy about it, and thought I'd share ...

hopefully late 2003/early 2004...

I definitely need help- before I scream Me'shell is supposed to preform in D.C. on Oct. 26th at the 9:30 club but when I click on the website it has no information so I can buy tickets It doesn't even have the info period - could she have cancelled this performance in her hometown??? I hope not - this will only be my second time seeing her- I'm a serious fan and I don't wanna miss it! Please help anyone - if you can.

i've been assured she is performing at the 9:30 club.

it's just one of the 3 shows that doesn't have tickets on sale yet.

per the "tour de funk" page at freemy♥, just keep an eye on that, okay?

if that isn't good enough, one thing you could do is call the venue during the hours their ticket office is open and ask when the tickets are scheduled to go on sale...

meshell's new management is looking into when tickets go on sale for the 930 club, and the 2nd chicago date...

all of the other dates have either been announced when tickets go on sale, or are already on sale. (as it shows via the links at the "tour de funk" portion of freemy♥.)

yup--the dc show is now listed at the 9:30 site. tix available (on line) beginning at 10:00 a.m. today* est.

*it's the 18th already in d. c. "eve of isabel...."

I see that the Tour De Funk page has been updated to show that tickets went on sale as of yesterday (9/17/03) for the 2nd Chicago date. Once again, good lookin' out for us, Matthew!

As always, I think that you are providing a great service to those of us who love & appreciate Meshell & her music. As a matter of fact, I've been recommending this site to others - whomever will listen - as the place to go for comprehensive, up-to-date information about Meshell - past and present, as well as future ...

The concert with Soulive...are they meshell featuring Soulive or is it a Soulive concert and meshell will only do a song or two???wondering because I want to go to a meshell concert not a soulive concert

is it a co-headlining tour.

i've been promised by meshell's new management (who just happens to also be soulive's management) that they will play the same amount of time.

I saw Meshell at HOB in Hollywood last nite and DAMN!!!! is all I can say. The lady was awesome,,passionate,intense,,and funky. Sweet. I was up front and couldn't take my eyes off of her. I also was introduced to Soullive. Very tight cats. I will visit Cali as often as Meshell has concerts there. Living in Vegas and traveling to Cali to see Meshell is like breathing: I would do it without thinking. I love the lady.

Thank you for that review ... I've got my ticket for the Chicago show on next Friday, October 17. And, I am DEFINITELY pumped up for this event! My plan is to get to the HOB, here in Chi, as early as I can, after work that evening. I wanna be right up front, so that I can soak up every thang that transpires when my gurl and her band hit that stage ... And, my runnin' buddy, GT, will be there, too, that night ...

We are set to PARTY that night, for sho'! And, BTW, there is an after-party/album release set planned that evening, too... If I have enough energy/"steam" left over after Meshell and her band do their thing, I might just head over there to that club.

I've pre-ordered Comfort Woman, as well. And, I hope that I have it, before the show this Friday.

Anyway... I just wanted to say that I'm anxiously awaiting Meshell's return to perform in our fair city ... And, as I said above, we are gonna PARTY at the HOB that night. Chi-town has a lotta love for this sista!

Catwoman, my girl and I went to the Chicago concert at the House of Blues friday night and we really enjoyed ourselves. The concert itself was great and Me'shell was awesome as usual, but didn't it seem like Soulive's performance was a bit longer than Me'shell's? It seems that way to me so I just wanted some input from someone else who was actually at the concert.

I went to the show in San Francisco on October 12th, and it was awesome. Meshell was really tearing up the bass and the vibe was so chill. The band sounded great and it was cool seeing Cato back working it out on guitar. She was first on stage, and played for about 1 1/2 hours. She performed most of the cuts from the new album.

If memory serves me correctly, they performed these songs, not in this order:

Fool of me
God/Fear/Money
come smoke my herb
body
fellowship
good intentions
love song #1
love song #2
andromeda & the milky way

There was a good crowd on-hand, and they all seem to be digging the new material. If you have a chance to see the show, do what you have to do to make it, and hopefully we will get to see more live shows from Meshell, because hearing the music really makes you feel good.
