I'm hoping...i do this everytime I know...but...
so Meshell (my most favorite musical artist ever)is currently in the studio ripping some freeflowing jams...and Dangelo (my second favorite current artist) is ALSO in the studio working on his next creation... so...wouldn't it be great...wouldn't it be fantastic for music...if these two could get in the SAME studio at the SAME time and collaboratively create some uniquely new musical adventure for us all? Maybe it's just me, but i swear these two seem to be on almost similar paths musically speaking. I just think that sheet would flow so freely in the studio if they were creating something together. they've worked on the same record together...soundtracks & tributes (like Red Hot &Riot...the great Fela Kuti tribute album)...but i would just love for them to get into Electric Lady Studios together...(they're BOTH Hendrix fans) and let the magic happen. and while were on Hendrix...who who who knows anything about the wherabouts of the Hendrix project Meshell was commisioned to do years ago. How many tracks were done? Which songs did she cover? Who owns the rights to that stuff NOW? that thing will be like the lost beatles tapes one day ah, questions questions questions... have a good weekend everyone! Thanks for keeping us in the loop! derek |

I know this ventures into sort of Nazi centrally planned genepool territory, but I think that, as a service to humanity, Me'Shell and D'Angelo should make pretty brown babies, and start breeding the next generation of bad musical motherfuckers.
They could name the first one Me'Chael'Angelo. |
