whoa! i just realized that was an mp3 up there.... a new song from MESHELL! what a gift..

the way the sound-effects and the guitar and synths mix is really unique... i LIKE. i love how she has this ability ot make highly produced and layered things sound strikingly organic. i can learn so much from her.... and, of course, no one's voice creates a mood like hers.

on a related note... it pains me to recall how after a few months of being on the cookie street team (august) i received that email from julie that said the street team was no more and that people would have to learn of cookie's existance strictly thru word of mouth.

there must be SOME way to promote meshell's records effectively...

it DOES seem like more and more people around me have at least HEARD of me'shell ndegéocello...

I wonder is Me'shell's contract , the one she is obliged to , is the same one she signed back in 1993 - if so i believe hearing it was a 5 album deal . i think she should look into doin' the indie thing with a national distributer ( ala the latest jazzyfatnastees release ...) - with the right promo heads behind it it could mean a big success and a huge financial one for her and her crew - needless to say , well deserved .
