i think that it's simply because it's an import. (it's going to be cheaper in france, since it's being released in france...)

One more thing, I gotta admit to being a dumb ol american when it comes to this because I know I'm doing something wrong with the currency converter ...when i type in the EUR amount the american doller conversion came out to be, oh, i dont know, (In Dr Evil voice) Four and a half THOUSAND dollars...I mean, Meshell's my girl and everything but uhhhh...i just gotta draw the line at 2K....

yeah i just went to the link and the price is there now. Last night when i checked though the price wasn't there at all, and there was some message that my non-frenchknowing-ass couldn't figure out. anyway it's showing up through that link now so I'm good.

You know, I was thinking that Amazon.ca (canada) might have these available too since they are kinda linked to France and all, but haven't seen anything there yet...

yeah, i've been checking daily at amazon.ca and amazon.com, but nothing as of yet

i hope that this changes. $21+ shipping isn't a lot to us when it comes to supporting her, but it is to those who might be sitting on the fence.

hopefully infidel will be available at her upcoming shows... i think that it's important that it is... hearing the album gives one a different kind of appreciation for the live experience.

then again, maybe that's just me...

I can translate you all the infos but i guess it's useless since main infos are those ones:

Your order is done, no need to confirm, they say they'll ship the CD on feb 12. 2005 and you should receive your package (containing 2 items) between feb 21 and feb 24. They also say you can log on to check if your items has been sent (but there's not tracking number for international shippings).

So there's nothing else to do than waiting

Well i just bought a french jazz magazine called "Jazzman" (n°110 february 2005) with a 2-pages focus on Meshell.

I know another french magazine called "Musiq" is gona put her on the cover this month, but I havn't find it yet !

i'm waiting for a copy of that as well

Knowing our boy matthew, i'm sure if he gets a copy he'll probably add it to the site as well so we all can enjoy it, but Sebastian, i was wondering, on the 'Jazzman' Magazine and the 'Musiq' magazine is there a website or address where i, living here in america, might go to possibly order copies of these two particular issues to be delivered to me here in the US? (i have an old Bass Player Magazine with her on the cover, and it would be cool to add the Musiq & Jazzman issues to my collection too)

The two magazines don't have a web site as far as I know : I've search for them too, but nothing seems to be on line.

The Musiq magazine is a brand new one, pretty hard to find (it will be n°2 in february... N° 1 was starring Prince : it all stays in the family !)
The Jazzman doesn't have a site either unless it's quite a famous one in France. All I could find, on the paper is a email adress : I'm gona ask them directly the question and I will let you know.

i know mr. goaty, so he's sending me a copy of the new one with meshell... as soon as i get a copy, i'll put it online...

Mr Frederic Goaty is actually (as far as I know)one of the guy at "Musiq" magazine, as well as another magazine called "Jazz magazine" (here is some free advert, for you !) that often mention Meshell's work (as well as Prince's !)

He was also the one who interviewed her on the radio programm I mentioned 10 days ago.

He has interesting connections : I wish I knew Mr Goaty as well !
