that's so cool that they did the show twice... i just started my shift and i'll be on a plane in less than 10 hours :\ unfortunately, there was monday night football in seattle last night, so i'm going to be dealing with a lot of drunks instead of sleeping. lol...

Hey K’Trazz. That show sounds absolutely amazing! It’s a lot different from the show they did in Atlanta back in May 07. Is there by chance a recording of that set? Meshell should release a live album. She and the bands live jams sound a lot more polished than TWHMMTMOMD.

I really should get around to editing some of these shows and figuring out megaupload. They need to be trimmed and mastered. Plus, I'd hate to post something with me telling the guy behind me to stop snapping flashes in the middle of a great song. But man, working two jobs sux.

K'Trazz, I'd love to hear the raw copy! I was at the Detroit show as well, and am dying to relive it. Also, I think I saw you tell that dude about the flash. It'll go right with my memory of the show. ;-) My email is mrodyssey@gmail.com Thanks!

deshi speaks the truth...Meshell said that right before ripping into 'All The Critics Love You In New York' which had the crowd HYPED. So i don't think she minds us sharing the recordings of the live shows at all. Deshigirrrl, Groove Thang and M it was very cool to finally meet you all in person...and i'm glad the show we happened to meet at was such a good one (even if it was kinda short compared to her gigs in the past). but then again she packed a helluva lot of great stuff into that short package...and you know if anyone can, i can definitely appreciate that again, loved meeting ya'll (hope to do so again sometime)...oh yeah and don't forget to let us know how the Milwaukee (& Minneapolis) gigs were ( woulda loved to join ya there too) peace!

Yeah, I still remember the first show I tried to record (and screwed up), and Meshell giving my pointers. Hey derek, I'm glad you enjoyed the show better than some from Y! Groups. I still so hate that I couldn't make it out to meet you guys. We need to get a real convention together someday that I can actually plan for. Anyway, the natives are restless, so... minneapolis was the best show i've seen on this tour... i flew out to support tasha opening with black blondie, and she is so talented. you all would have been so proud of her it moves me to know that meshell personally chose her band over many others that applied to open for her. tasha is crazy on the keys. she was mobbed after they performed and it continued after meshell performed. i had a hard time passing on the hugs from chicago... during black blondie's performance, tasha was directing her band and playing everything from corny 80s sound, to stuff that radiohead would've been proud to have on one of their albums, to classic minneapolis sound (aka jimmy jam/prince 80s keys). i look forward to seeing them perform live again... meshell's current band just keeps getting better and better. i can't imagine how good they'll sound in europe... because they just keep growing. i'm so glad i got to see deantoni (pronounced d-ann-ton-ee) play drums for her... he is an amazing talent. she allowed him multiple extended solos throughout the show... other than the guy that kept yelling out "elliptical" in between every song, the crowd was great too. very supportive and enthusiastic. meshell of course connected immediately with them by opening with "all the critics love you in new york" (without the commentary from the previous shows) and closed with "wilderness." possibly the highlight of meshell's set was the performance of "shirk." before the song began, meshell explained what "shirk" meant to her, before she sang her song very mellow with only oren and chris behind her. it was a very "bitter" moment... but yeah, it was well worth making the trip to support tasha... and meshell. i already had purchased my ticket to fly out to the chicago show before tasha emailed me saying that her band was opening for meshell. i immediately went and canceled my flight home from chicago to seattle and bought tickets to fly from chicago to minneapolis and then back to seattle. after 3 days in minneapolis, i didn't want to go home...
