I was glad to here that Maurice White , himself was responsible for pushing this idea and that the release was the first for the resurfacing label (Stax). Also that with the already givin info of the release that Ledisi and Lalah Hathaway are contributing artist as well.

... apparently the release date in Japan is the 2007/03/14...

I think I'm going to preorder it

unless you live in japan, there's no reason to pay an extra $20 for this title when it's going to be released domestically at or around the same time.

if the release were like "dance of the infidel," i'd say go for it. but it's not. the ew&f tribute album will be released here in the states within a week of the japanese release date.

just my 2 cents.

Well, you're right I need to see the availability in France first... However I preordered in Japan the "untitled" new album... it's cheaper (by a couple of euros only though, thanks to the strong euro) than getting it from the main retailer here (aka "la Fnac").. and I especially like japanese releases... even if they do not always have extra tracks, they have this exotic feeling
