Matthew...i saw mos def & talib kweli last night at hob in anaheim...man, what a freakin show!

ok, on to my question...i know kweli was on cookie, but i'm curious to know if mos & meshell have ever done anything together and if she respects him as the GREAT artist he is! I always liked the man, but after seeing the show and reading somethings on him i feel that him and meshell prolly have alot in common.

What do you think? anyone?

no, they've never done anything in the studio together that i've ever heard of.

i believe meshell & mos are on a track together on the last scritti politti album... possibly "tinseltown to the boogiedown".... mos also sat in for "free my heart" in one of meshell's jam sessions at tonic last year... mos has come to several shows and definitely has much respect; meshell reciprocates the person to person love.

i hope they will collaborate in the future on one of mos' upcoing projects...

again kt, thanks for the knowledge. i figured they had to have mutual respect. i went to his site after seeing his concert & really listening to his (and kweli) lyrics. i just love when artists are real human beings and care about what happens in the world. and most importantly have something to say. i have so much respect for meshell, and mos (as well as alot others) definitely sincerely care.
