Hey M, it's been a while. I just wanted to take this time to say that you are very well appreciated. Even though I may not post all the time, free my heart is my home page and I check it everyday to see what is going on with Me'shell and all the other little nuances you put up there.
On another note, I consider myself to be a die hard Me'shell fan, but at the same time, I have no problem critiquing her work. And from the KCRW performance, I believe that Me'shell knows what she is doing and her creativity and her growth and change is heading in the right direction. Me'shell has never let me down with her music and her message and I will continue to support her as long as she continues to do what she does best, which is making kick-ass in your face aint no denying I am as talented as they come music. Therefore, I will not complain when I pay 25 dollars to see a living legend in an intimate setting, like the village underground, to hear her and her new band "try some new things on us." I will continue to support Bashir through the ups and downs and changes she is going through. I mean look at the alternatives. Whoamfg:

So, thank you, once again to M for never letting Me'shell or her fans down. Hug

couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks for staying dedicated.

Other websites have closed (lol) for recent negativity. it's nice to go somewhere where people can discuss an evolving artist critically, but not overbearingly so. We woldn't be talking about them if we didn't like them so much, and artists fail to realize that.

yeah, actually, I'd stopped going over there anyway, in favor of sticking with .org, as reading some of the sheep's messages hurt my stomach. Do humans really speak like that? Reading some of that mess, this little voice piped up in my head, sounding oddly like Cartman from South Park, mumbling something about "hippie crap".

And I tried housequake, but it felt like Jay & Silent Bob trying to lean against the new Quik Stop: It just isn't the same.

I don't feel ripped off by NPG, as it's $25, I spend that on Starbucks in a week. It's nice that it's there, but I don't want to spend my time playing with a Fisher-Price Prince Mixer or trying to remember which staircase leads to what, and reading inane messages about curse-free movies and Beyonce' getting beat down by Ike (or something like that. Smile . It's graphically nice, informationally starving, but the "thought is what matters". (Suspend expectations, remember? And didn't KT use the same line last week? Perhaps Shiva is in Paisley again? *"hippie crap"*)

Honestly, my favorite P community right now is DC++ (from HQ).

*edit to bump this post up instead of the poorly titled "other one" i've been posting on lol

Hello, all...

I just want to chime in here, and also say "Thanks" to Matthew for posting those MP3's of "Love Song #1/Come Smoke" & "River" Smile... I'm gonna buy Meshell's upcoming releases anyway...That's a GIVEN! But, in the meantime, I do appreciate having these sound files. As I listen to them, I'm kinda re-livin' last Friday's concert Cool In addition, I'm glad to hear that the album will be copy-protected.

Otherwise, Matthew... I read your note on the front page this evening, when I logged on to this site. I may be new here, but I'm just wonderin' who the h*** would be stupid/ignorant enough to think that you would post this music, and such, without permission from Meshell and/or Maverick??? IMHO, that's just crazy talk...

Later...

sigh... well, typical me. i over-reacted to something i didn't know the full story on... it sucks when one of the few things you're really good at is burning bridges (that's me in a nutshell.)

i'm not able to keep my cool when it comes to things i'm passionate about (such as keeping you all updated via this website)... anyways, try and forget i put that up there...
