I don't know if it's my computer or the file, but when I click on the link to "Andromeda", I get a file format error message. Since the player supports .asx files, the next thing to check is the file itself. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

same problem as before with the cookie bonus tracks.

unless you have windows media player (the latest version helps), not to mention a high speed connection (since it's streaming only), you're left out in the cold.

the good news is that it's only 39 days left.

i have the track in the same quality on mp3. with julie and meshell's permission, i'll happily host it. (it's not cd quality... it's a recording of the stream.)

anyways, i doubt that's in the cards, so the next best offer is to get to a computer store and say you want to test out their latest/greatest.

while you're there, go to freemyheart and click on the link. turn up the volume. if they think you're going to spend $3K on a new computer, they can deal with andromeda for 4:35.

ok thats the second mention in the past few days of the Cookie bonus tracks... whats the deal?? what are they and where can i hear them? i put my cookie CD in my computer the other day and there are no files on it. what gives? how did i miss this?

Hey, melange... Basically, I'm in the "same boat" as you, in this regard. And, I, too, am very wary of changin' my connection setup to high speed for similar reasons.

In the meantime, though, I have downloaded and heard many of the MP3 files that Matthew has graciously provided here on this forum - free & clear, with permission from Meshell, her management, etc. And, to me, the sound quality, as well as my enjoyment, of these files has been more than enough to appease/keep me happy until I can buy the "real deal", i.e., Meshell's CD, itself, when it's released.

WRT the KCRW (?) radio broadcast, I'll try to listen to it at work, when (and if...) I can get some free time (if any...) next week, or just sometime soon. The system at work is high-speed, and WAY more powerful & evolved than my little 'ole "jalopy" PC system, here at home ... Of course, I will use discretion, and alla that. But, hey, just in case, y'all didn't hear that from me, and y'all don't know me, OK?...LOL!!! Just kidding ...

Anyhoo... I'm happy to have freemyheart.com out here, available to the fans - with all of the up-to-date info about my gurl, Meshell. I am also happy to see that Matthew provides this service via this Web site, with alla the REAL DEAL about Meshell, her music, her messages, and anything related... Yo, Matthew, I think you deserve a HUGE shout-out!

It goes without sayin' that I am gonna continue to support Meshell by buying her releases and/or goin' out to see her & the band live, when they come through my area. And, 40 days can go by fast, too, in the scheme of how life is, on this planet ...
