i'd love some movie rental suggestions, cuz i am on winter break from school and finally have some TIME to relax SmileSmileSmile

i just saw vanilla sky... i am thinkin i might like abre los ojos better... Red Face

i'm also really excited because i got a copy of downtown 81 (staring jean michel basquiat) thru interlibrary loan at my school... i am really into basquiat (the artist... and the movie) and jeffrey wright as a result of seeing his portrayal of basquiat. also, loved schnabel's other movie (he directed basquiat) before night falls about a cuban poet.

Hi Tasha,
I saw a movie called "Panic" this weekend. It stars William H. Macy, Neve Campbell and John Ritter. It's a drama that's pretty heavy duty. Take a look at this page on IMDb movie data base.
http://us.imdb.com/Title?0194218

I also recently saw "How High" with Method Man and Red Man. It's super funny from beginning to end. I thought it was pretty original as well.
However, I didn't like the bitches and ho language but there's not a lot of that. I think it's worth seeing.
Nice to see you on the message board!Smile

Lucky you! I just started back school this past monday. My break was wonderful though. I was watching movies all break-long. Ones I recommend are...

Beloved - Powerful, gripping and prepossessing. I couldn't get the characters out of my head. They captivate you. This is the kind of film that rewards you if you watch.

Monster's Ball - Halle is hands-down amazing. So is Billy Bob. Great movie. Unforgettable ending.

Tongues Untied - About gay black men and their voices in a contemporaneous society. Captivating and inspiring.

A Walk To Remember - Don't let Mandy Moore fool you. It's a sweet movie and it's for the romantic in all of us. I thought it was a nice film.

Paris Is Burning - Kind of old, but remarkable story of NYC balls and gay men. It's an interesting sociological look into a oft-brushed aside people in a culture that is purely of their own creation.
